5 STEPS: How to make a great promotional video...
With 95% of viewers retaining messages from video, it should be one of the most important components of any organisation’s marketing communications. Video reaches out to a wide audience in a way that words just can’t.

Creating a new promotional video might appear complicated. But, no matter what it is you do and want to shout about, all you need is to follow these 5 simple steps for a creative and engaging video that packs a punch…
  1. What's your goal? The first thing you need to do is identify the purpose of your video. 
  2. Planning is key. Sit down with a colleague and flesh out a plan for your video. 
  3. Pick a style. You’ve decided on the ‘what’, now you need to consider the ‘how’. Select a video type that compliments your objective and key messages.
  4. Tell a story. Nobody likes being pitched to so don’t be overtly salesy. Your video needs to be exciting and interesting in order to engage your audience.

Case study: These Mums Do

We always look forward to every shoot and edit we do, but, we really enjoyed one of our more recent projects for Manchester-based These Mums Do.

This small, but thriving business is led by a very motivated Mum of two who runs post-natal fitness classes and a running club for Mums in the local area.

After a small re-brand and celebrating her second year in business, Becca decided it was time to shift her marketing up a notch and produce a promotional video to reach out to, and engage with new Mums in the area.

Using video to market this small business has been a great success. This short and engaging promo reached over 16.5K people and was viewed by over 8.8K in its first week. Not only that, the video has been shared over fifty times and has received over 135 comments.
