Hosted by Managing Partner Simon Ridpath, the series features private capital lawyers from the Firm engaging with guests from the worlds of sport, finance, theatre, and philanthropy. Guests have included football legend Alan Shearer CBE, theatre producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh, philanthropist Dame ‘Steve’ Shirley and cricketer Mark Ramprakash.

Recently, we collaborated to introduce video podcasting into their latest Client Conversations episodes, elevating the series and helping it evolve.

The brief

Charles Russell Speechlys wanted a professional podcast production partner to support their Client Conversations series. They required a team capable of managing all technical and logistical aspects, including mobile studio setups for on-site recordings. The goal was to create an engaging and polished podcast that showcased conversations with high-profile guests, aligning with the Firm’s reputation for excellence and thought leadership. Additionally, they wanted to enhance the series by incorporating video podcasts to widen its reach and impact.

Our Approach

Janno Media’s Head of Podcasts led the project, utilizing a mobile recording studio to capture both audio and video at the client’s chosen locations, including the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. This approach ensured a comfortable and seamless experience while maintaining high production standards. Incorporating video into the Mark Ramprakash episode elevated the series, making it more dynamic and engaging. We also produced video teasers to promote the episodes on social media, particularly LinkedIn, helping to broaden the series’ reach and appeal.

Post-recording, we handled all aspects of editing and sound and video design to deliver a broadcast-ready podcast that met the client’s specifications.
