CMS Building Better Futures Hub shortlisted for UK Social Mobility Awards

Wednesday, September 1st, 2021

We are delighted to see our client CMS receive well-deserved recognition for its innovative Building Better Futures Hub at this year’s UK Social Mobility Awards (SOMOs).

The SOMOs recognise and celebrate organisations with a focus on advancing social mobility throughout the UK.

Global law firm CMS has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Innovation’ category for their Building Better Futures Hub. Created at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, this online hub provides insights into CMS and the many different roles that make up a commercial law firm through a collection of engaging videos which the Janno team helped to produce. These videos cover topics such as how to create a great CV and how to prepare for interviews as well as insights from lawyers, legal apprentices and legal secretaries.

Complete with resources to help young people develop key skills required for further education and the world of work, the Building Better Futures Hub is a great example of how this law firm is showcasing the many opportunities there are in the legal sector for all.

Judging for the SOMOs is taking place throughout August and we have our fingers crossed for CMS for the awards night in October.

  • The #cmsbuildingbetterfutures hub is a really valuable resource for young people and I'm delighted that CMS has been shortlisted at the UK Social Mobility Awards for its work on this project. Congratulations to all the other nominees too - it's inspiring to see so many great organisations coming up with innovative ways to tackle social mobility.
